Is it done ?

Or is it boring, I just don't know. Here it is:

I'm happy I managed to continue the shape of one of the triangles in the binding:

And I added a tiny triangle in the binding on the left side:

I thought about adding another layer of machine quilting in another colour or maybe adding shapes of triangles hand quilted with thicker thread... but I really don't know. I don't want to 'overdo' it.

The hanging sleeve isn't attached yet...

Thanks for your suggestions !

Decisions

Hi from Heidi :-)
Erin is not the only one, who's late.
I've started with some triangles and hope to finish the center the next few days. It will be a small quilt...Now, what colour to use for the border ?
Red or blue ? At the moment I think it's red, but this can change tomorrow :-)
I will let the triangles wander into the border fabric like above, no straight lines and the words probably will be 'befreite Dreiecke' or 'Dreiecke mit vier Ecken' which means 'liberated triangles' or 'triangles with four corners'.
So, can you help me with the border colour ?
Thanks Heidi

sample

Hi, Heidi here...
yesterday I made a sample with the traditional layout, although there are some very liberated spots there , where the points should meet. the inner square is 11" x 10".
So, the next step is to try this liberated. Probably I'll use different colors, cause in this sample I'm not so happy with them. Last year I've seen an exhibition about Amish quilts and though many fabrics were dull and pale, the quilts sparkled... not so with my sample...
Oh and you can see in the photo, that my basting approach is very liberated :-)
