work it out.

Working it out...
"I AM NOT PERFECT"
We had a family meeting about this project last night in my house...
it has become a group effort! ;-)
We've decided that the words ,make a nice addition around the center of the work, as an extension of the design... I will then add nice big clean borders i the lovely Amish way...
Still got to get to the quilt shop for more blues...

"AND THAT IS OK!"

(IS OK! will go up the left side...)

and that is OK

And that is OK!

I started working on my wonky words... First stab...
Since it's all crazy wonky I thought the affirmation:

I am not perfect, and that is OK

Would work nicely!
But two things, One I ran out of navy blue...
and two, I think I want them SMALLER to fit in the borders...

So, after a lovely trip to the quilt shop,( yippee!)
I may take another stab at it... or i may put the words on the back...

we'll see...
But I've stopped procrastinating, so that's good!

the dance

I'm just staring at it... I put this part together very quickly, and now, I am staring at it...
procrastinating making those letters... ;-) I need a full day to focus on them...
So far, it's been fun to work on! I like the wonky-ness how it makes it dance...

I know what I want it to say, just trying to decide, do the words go all the way around it? or just on one side... I guess I should just start the words, and it will all find it's way together...

Turning procrastination into percolating thoughts...

I love seeing everyone's come together!

choices

Hi all! Thanks Tonya for inspiring us all once again!!
V here from Bumble Beans... So many beauties it's hard to pick what floats my boat the most!
I recall being a teenager, and first seeing Amish Quilts on a poster I had from The Quilts of Lancaster County... They took my breath away! Their simple use of color sucked me in...
I just love the above quilt.. It does a little dance...
But I also love the simplicity of the one below...

Have fun choosing your inspiration!
I can't wait to see what fabulous things come from this class!
I've already started playing... I couldn't wait or stop myself! yipppee!
