At first they didn't look all that "liberated" but then I added some slivers to the triangles in the block, which you can see on the top left. It does add some movement, don't you think?
Next I want to try a few variations in size and color contrast because right now the pattern looks a little "chunky" to me. Back with more soon!

I confess that I like the chunky look and your four blocks made me think about super-sizing some bow ties and make a large quilt from just four (or maybe nine) really large bow ties.

The slivers are a great idea. I like chunky too, tho experimenting is always a good thing, isn't it?
