So I finally sewed on the last borders of this project, bringing it up to 56 by 68 and now I'm wondering if I should put on top and bottom borders to get it to a single size, or just stick to my original plan of a throw size. I had great plans of hand quilting elaborate Amish-style motifs on this, but I am going to back it with navy microfleece and tie it so it is done sooner. This isn't the greatest photo -- I need to pick off millions of thread and give it another good pressing.

I love your quilt and I think that I would like to make a quilt in that style sometime.
it's great - excellent job. very amish and yet not all at the same time.
thanks to both of you!
Very nice! I love the "Be Well."
Like it! I back with fleece, sometimes too. Sometimes I use fleece as a batting, if it is on sale enough. Like the crazy border.
Nice color balance..........It will get lots of snuggles with a fleece backing....I hope it keeps everyone in your home "well".
Let us know how the tying goes with the fleece :0).
Happy Sewing
I love how the patchy border frames it whimsically! Beautiful work!
Great job, I'd leave it this size, back it, tie it, and enjoy the heck out of it. Nice choice of words.
I agree with everyone. This is wonderful...great words, love that crazy border, and it will be quite snuggly with the fleece backing! What a great comfort quilt for when someone in the family is under the weather!
I'd keep the throw size and finish it however makes you happy ... it is WONDERFUL ... love it, love it!
I'm a sucker for medallion style quilts, so I just love that you put your message smack in the center. I used fleece as a backing once and thought it worked great.
When I tie quilts I like to use 100% wool yarn. When it gets washed, the yarn felts up into little balls.
Really love this quilt !Medallion quilts are allways strong. Good luck with the quilting!
