Amish Pyramids

Have been beavering away to finish the Pyramids, needed some more Orange so a quick trip to Ikea was on the menu. Managed to finish the machine quilting the day before last, thankfully I didnt run out of sewing thread - this free motion quilting surely eats it up. All I have to do it put on the binding - then I have to introduce my words - have an idea just hope it works. Have enjoyed the challenge with this Tonya.

Yummy!
I'm curious about how you are going to finish this.....will you quilt the next section then add it on?
I really like this pattern and bought some fabrics from the Lancaster AQS show to make one too :0). Cherrywood cottons!

Happy sewing

Your quilt looks 3-D as if the pyramids are rising up off the quilt. Bravo!!

Well done Irene - wonderful job. I love the orange.

How do you propose to add the letters if it's already quilted and bound? Are you going to do stem stitch or hand quilt them in the border?

Wow, I love this quilt. How did you get the corners to meet so well? I've been trying to make a 1000 pyramids quilt, just beginning, with batiks, and am finding that my triangle tips are very hard to match, so it looks uneven. Any pointers?

Thanks for sharing this!
