Decisions

Hi from Heidi :-)
Erin is not the only one, who's late.
I've started with some triangles and hope to finish the center the next few days. It will be a small quilt...Now, what colour to use for the border ?
Red or blue ? At the moment I think it's red, but this can change tomorrow :-)
I will let the triangles wander into the border fabric like above, no straight lines and the words probably will be 'befreite Dreiecke' or 'Dreiecke mit vier Ecken' which means 'liberated triangles' or 'triangles with four corners'.
So, can you help me with the border colour ?
Thanks Heidi

I am thinking a blue background around the triangles, then a narrow-ish black border and then another wider blue border. The black could be the dark purple instead. Somehow I think that would look very Amish.

I prefer the blue. It shows off the red triangles which seem to be the focal point. I love the idea of them flowing into the border!

I like the blue border too...I agree with Diane's point. Maybe a thin inner border of the red after the blue and then a wide black or dark purple border, or maybe just a red binding if you want to keep this small.

Another vote for the blue ... with red letters.

I can honestly say I don't know which. I'd love to see it with a couple more auditions. the lightest one you've got and then the darkest. What about two borders? an inner border the same width as the "extra" triangles and then another wider one after that.

Blue :)

I prefer the blue border, it gives your red triangles much more "power".

Blue...makes the center shine more...

I like both of your colors of course!
I might try 2 borders as others suggested, a dark and then the blue. Or if you'd like one border, have you auditioned a darker blue, navy or deep dark navy? Or wine/dark burgundy?
I love your triangles and the mix of purples you chose.
