The Project

This is Wendy.  My DH has termed this "The Project", so the name has stuck. Here's my crystal blocks I've been L&E for the past few weeks. My quandry (much to my DH's amusement) has been which background to use. In case you can't see the colors well, we have dark green, black, burgandy and navy. The burgandy is about a half step darker in real life. That's the one I'm leaning toward, but the black is nice, too. So is the navy. Of course I just like the color green. See my problem? I need impartial judges, please.

I'm with you - I love the burgandy - but I'm a brights girl anyway. Does feel a little bit more "liberated" to me, as there are many more traditional dark background out there. Can't wait to see more!

I'm leaning toward the navy... it complements the blue and gray fabrics in the crystals. The burgundy is also nice.

I would choose the burgundy but it's one of my favorite colors so my vote is a little biased.

I like the dark green and the way the colors of the triangles play off it ... happy pondering!

I think I like the black. Anything you choose is going to be nice. :)

I vote for burgundy or navy, Wendy. Either of them will pull out colors in your triangles. Burgundy will warm it up or the navy will offer a stronger value contrast.

I vote for navy, it reminds me of ice crystals on a cold winters night.....which hopefully we won't see again for awhile.

I really like the burgundy too.
It looks like you have a lot of lights already in the triangles so any color is going to be terrific but .....I think the burgundy makes it more your own and not like the original.

How many blocks are you going to make? there has to be a million little pieces in each one!

Happy Sewing

Burgandy. Looks like there are fans of every color, so you can't go wrong. Love the icy crystal look you've achieved!
