Hi all, Nancy here. I am so excited by this quilt together! I have only been quilting for about 7 years and Gwen's Liberated String Quilts was among one of the first books I included in my library and I love it. Yet, I have never made a sting quilt, always wanted too, just never have. This is just the motivation I needed!
I ordered my book yesterday, but it looks like it will be a couple of weeks before it arrives. Based on what I saw on the web site I am leaning towards #100, Crazy Star, but Roman Stripes is quite nice too. And I have always wanted to make a Snails Trail. Gosh they are all so lovely, I will have to wait until I get my book. In the mean time I have some fabrics to purchase as my stash of solids is quite small.
I am really looking forward to this.

I love that Liberated Strings book too. There's a part of me considering putting string blocks in the negative spaces of the Ocean Waves, but I think that would be too busy even for me. Some great quilts to choose from - maybe a stringy snails trail...
